We are sending out replacement cards

As you know, Lenco Credit Union members have experienced an enormous increase in fraudulent transactions on their Master Card debit cards and VISA credit cards. We have recently learned that the vast majority of this fraud is due to Wendy’s restaurants that have been the victim of malicious cyber activity. Click this link to see Wendy’s statement concerning the issue:

Debit and credit cards used from the late fall of 2015 until June of 2016 at over 1,000 Wendy’s locations throughout the United States, and over 100 locations in Michigan,  have been compromised. Wendy’s has provided a list of locations they believe have been compromised:

If you used your card at one these locations during this time period, we believe it is just a matter of time before it will be used fraudulently. VISA and Master Card have provided a list of our member cards that are at risk. Therefore, we are in the process of sending replacement cards as quickly as possible. If you receive a replacement card, please contact our office at once so that we can turn off your compromised card.

If you have any questions concerning this data breach and what we are doing to protect your accounts, please contact our office at 517-263-0851. Of course, contact us immediately if you see unrecognized activity on your account.
